Holiday Ball Recap!

Holiday Ball Recap!

The Spurious Star

Last night’s awards celebration brought glamour to new heights, literally. Okay, that was lame. But listen it was great! Hosted on the stunning rooftop terrace of the Diamond Casino & Resort, last night’s event delivered a perfect blend of elegance, excitement, and appreciation for our community’s standout achievers. Guests were treated to exceptional hospitality courtesy of the Resort’s management team, who provided an impressive spread of food and beverages throughout the evening. With how much I lose almost every time I step into that building, I’m sure they were well prepared. Which explains the rich and decadent Lobster Risotto, paired with a variety of beverages, including seltzers, sodas, and other alcoholic options.

With the city skyline as our backdrop, attendees mingled, celebrated the honorees, and enjoyed a memorable night of recognition and connection. The atmosphere was warm, lively, and unmistakably luxurious, everything an awards night should be.

But enough of the fluff, amirite? You wanna know what you missed? These were the awards presented in each department.

As the final awards were presented and applause echoed across the rooftop, the celebration shifted into full party mode. The open dance floor quickly filled as music floated through the night air, and the open bar kept spirits high.

Laughter rose during a charming, inter-department round of musical chairs, where officers, medics, attorneys, rangers, judges, and more showed off their competitive streaks.

Before the night came to a close, heartfelt thanks were extended to all government workers across the state, not only those who received awards, but also the countless individuals whose dedication and daily efforts often go unseen. Their service keeps the state running, protects its people, and strengthens the community. With such an incredible turnout, shared laughter, and genuine appreciation, there is hope that this celebration becomes a long-standing annual tradition for years to come. One that continues to bring departments together, honor their achievements, and create unforgettable memories. Here’s to next year, friends!
